Christie and Ross’ Lazy S Hacienda wedding was a vibrant fusion of Mexican heritage and Texas culture. From a live mariachi band to margaritas served in hand-painted Jarrito mugs, every detail of this North Texas wedding celebration was full of personality and style.
My day began with getting ready photos, and Lazy S Hacienda has one of my favorite bridal suites ever. It’s spacious, full of gorgeous natural light, and styled to perfection. A dream spot for capturing those quiet, getting-ready moments.

Christie and Ross shared their first look on the covered terrace – with a celebratory tequila shot to kick things off, of course. It was one of those scorching Texas days, so I kept photos under cover or in the shade whenever possible.
Guests arrived by shuttle from Fort Worth and were greeted by the sounds of a live mariachi band. The outdoor ceremony on the lawn featured expansive views – just trees for days.
During cocktail hour, guests enjoyed beer from the beer burros or sipped margaritas from hand-painted Jarrito mugs – imported from Mexico and offered as take-home wedding favors.
Inside the Lazy S Hacienda reception hall, the decor was chic and understated. The timeless black-and-white palette set the tone, with long wooden tables lined with lush white roses, soft baby’s breath, and tall taper candles that gave the whole space a warm, inviting glow. Simple, modern, and beautiful.
After dinner, we stepped outside for some dreamy golden-hour wedding photos. The light was soft, the temperature had dropped, and the landscape felt quiet and peaceful. Back inside, The Royal Dukes band brought the best jams and kept the dance floor packed all night long.
With its Marfa-meets-Mexico vibe, Lazy S Hacienda is the kind of Texas wedding venue where cowboy boots, classy gowns, and cultural traditions all come together seamlessly. Christie and Ross’ day was the perfect reminder that when a wedding reflects your roots and your personality – it becomes unforgettable!
